Support ISRI

Allah (SWT) says in the Qu’ran (Al-Baqra: 261): The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

Where to Support ISRI

ISRI is a non-profit, private school, which operates as per the regulations in the state, and therefore does not receive funding as a Public / Charter schools would. Tuition alone does not cover all the costs involved with running and maintaining a school premises.

Capital Projects
Maintaining a school facility is expensive. ISRI needs to renew its plumbing system, heating and cooling system. Additionally bathrooms need to be renovated and new windows need to be installed.

In view of the growth of its student population, ISRI needs to construct additional classrooms and facilities to enable us to expand educational programs. Additional classroom furniture needs to be purchased, equipment for the science and computer labs must be enhanced, and existing computers are in need of being upgraded.

Program Enhancement
To provide the most effective, all-round and up-to-date education for students, course offerings must be expanded constantly. We must have the funds to hire and retain well-qualified teachers and to provide them with state-of-the-art facilities and ongoing professional development and training, all of which requires a regular and constant cash flow. Library holdings need be expanded and our physical health / gym programs need revisions too.

Student Financial Assistance
There are families with several children who cannot afford to pay full tuition. ISRI therefore offers financial aid to ease that difficulty, and tuition discount to teachers for enrolling their children at ISRI. The amount of tuition assistance differs depending on need and the availability of funds.

The cost for the financial aid and discounting is about 10% of total revenue or about $50,000 annually. There are also families who receive Zakat money to cover the cost of tuition and the school has them in a separate category, but sometimes there is not enough Zakat money to cover those children.

Your donations will help us cover the above mentioned costs and therefore you are helping a brother or sister who is truly in need to have their child receive an Islamic education from ISRI.

All donations, large and small, will be gratefully accepted. Donors may specify whether their donation is intended for the operation of the school and capital projects, program enhancements, or student financial assistance.
